Anyone who knows me or has been watching me on DA knows that I want to be a professional photographer more than anything. Well in one of the most hectic times in my life (trying to buy my first home) I was asked a simple question, "Do you want to be a professional photographer?". Without hesitation I said "Of Course". This question was asked by who I met here on Deviantart. Although we haven't known eachother very long we've become fast friends. He just happened to have an opportunity for me. A friend of his has a photo studio that he needs to share. Looking for someone to share the rent, I would get to use the studio with the lighting, backdrops, props and all. The building is an old bank and it even has vault doors. The real bonus is it's only a few miles from my house. I met with the guy and was astounded how generous, and easy going he was. As an outdoor photographer I wait for the light to be just right and look for cool things to shoot. I know nothing about artificial lighting or shooting people. This guy is willing to teach me and get me started. How can I pass this up. This could actually be a career in the making. Hopefully I get enough work to pay for the rent because otherwise this glorious opportunity could be short lived. I think it'll be worth every penny though.

If it wasn't for Deviantart I never would have met Tony Slez. I teared up on the way home thinking how this is a once in a lifetime chance and if it wasn't for the continuous support of someone who barely knows me, I might be 65 years old thinking... what if ??

I just hope that someday I get the chance to pay if forward.
